Ski in the Portes du Soleil
Morzine and Avoriaz are at the heart of the Portes du Soleil, one of the largest ski areas in the world. You can move freely between France and Switzerland, on slopes for all levels and breathtaking views—and on a clear day, you can see as far as Mont Blanc.
In Morzine, the skiing inspiration begins well before the first chairlift. It all starts with where you park, where you wake up, and what you see when you open the door of your van.
There are a few places around town where the van becomes the ideal winter base.
Just outside Morzine, on the road to Avoriaz, near the top of Super Morzine, is one of our favorite spots—a quiet place with unobstructed views across the valley. At night, the lights of Morzine twinkle below while the mountains fade into darkness. From this spot, you can even access the slopes directly from the van, so you can be on your skis for the first tracks of the morning without having to go through a crowded parking lot.

For an even earlier start, park near the Ardent chairlift for easy access to the Avoriaz slopes. Grab a coffee in the van, strap on your skis, and you'll be on the slopes before the crowds.
If you are looking for more peace and quiet, the forests on the road to Saint-Jean-d'Aulps offer calm, shelter, and that feeling of true isolation—even in the middle of winter.
After a day on the slopes, Morzine has no shortage of great places to visit.
For a refined experience, La Chamade is a must.
For a different but equally satisfying budget, O Chalet serves one of the best burgers in the area.
When it comes to snowboarding,The Woodsis unbeatable. The team is welcoming, knows its equipment inside out, and offers high-end Burton Step Ons—also available for rent! Perfect when your van is your mobile base.
No check-in times.
No fixed base.
Just the freedom to follow the snow, the light, and the mountains—without sacrificing comfort or style.
